Senior Management Reporting position for a large group

A maternity cover role for a large complex business with multiple offices across the globe. This is a great company and you will be working in a very friendly and approachable team with 1 direct report.

The finance team speak highly of the open atmosphere, that it’s not corporate and offers ownership of tasks. Currently they are working from home and plan to move to a hybrid arrangement with 1-2 days in the Central London office.

The team look after the monthly management performance reporting including gross profit margins, headcount and balance sheet. They also do the annual budget and mid-year forecasting and ad hoc analysis

In this role you will business partner with multiple overseas offices to consolidate their numbers and challenge when needed. You will need to liaise confidently with senior commercial management whilst having a hands-on approach with month end processes.

Your Responsibilities

Preparation of high-quality monthly performance reports for senior management
Managing monthly divisional consolidation process using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
Reviewing submissions of financial information from regional operations
Review of risk and stock reporting
Review and analyse submissions and results from other regional entities
Challenging information as required
Lead the divisional annual business plan budget and mid-year forecasts
Preparation and interrogation of regular overhead expense analysis against budget
Managing the Divisional reporting team with 1 direct report

This is a high profile role as you will be producing reports for a very senior audience. It is really important and that you build strong working relationships across different levels in London and with overseas finance teams.

Being a Hyperion super-user is essential as you will be the point of contact for overseas teams to ask questions regarding the system.

Your Skills & Experience

You will need to be a Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with at least five years post-qualified experience in finance. Strong analytical skills are key. The ability to question and challenge information in a collaborative way will be essential to your success, making this a truly commercial opportunity.

The role involves a thorough attention to detail whilst being able to summarise the main issues.

Other experience needed:

Management information / commercial finance experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Able to work confidently with senior commercial management
Multi-task; prioritise and work flexibly and pro-actively in a small team
High energy and driven
Experience of Hyperion Financial Management necessary
