A UK Bank with steady yearly growth and plans for 2022 to develop further is seeking an Interim Head of Regulatory Reporting. Having successfully met their goals, they have set new ones and are seeking someone that add value to regulatory reporting.

The bank seeks people who have an entrepreneurial approach and ability to be strategic whilst still hands on. Everyone has a high level of personal and professional integrity and this role requires you to be a self-sufficient leader. The position is for 3-6 months to cover on an interim basis for up to GBP750 per day (inside IR35). A permanent hire will be joining in a few months so you will step in to BAU tasks, however there are numerous projects and improvements that need you to take a lead on.

This position can be hybrid or fully remote, the office is based in Central London.

Interim Head of Regulatory Reporting

As the interim Head of Regulatory Reporting you will be responsible for the execution of the banks complex regulatory reporting. You will need drive and energy as well as the required technical skills.

You will be able to manage the accurate and timely information to the regulators and take responsibility for the following:

Working with the regulators – PRA, Bank of England and FCA.
Delivery of reporting processes and controls for the bank
Supporting new product innovation including providing technical regulatory input on business projects
Initiating and implementing processes and control improvements
Work on projects including a new system implementation
Your experience

You must have regulatory reporting experience in a UK banking environment at a senior level. Ideally you will be from a SME Bank with a full breadth of regulatory reporting experience. It is preferred if you have led a small team or had a background in managing direct reports.

The role needs you to be a qualified accountant and an excellent communicator who can interact across teams.

There is also a great deal of initiative required to look at what can be improved and for you to then implement those changes. The opportunity offers ownership and autonomy and really friendly and upbeat environment.
