Out of the office, but still on it! A day in the life during August Anywhere…

This month Team Trace can work anywhere in the world.

As part of our August Anywhere initiative, the team can continue their work – business as usual – and combine it with the ability to travel, visit home and family and experience new places.

We asked three of our team members to take us with them on their travels for a week, and Bertie – Media & Commerce Consultant is first up…

What happens when your company says, “Work from anywhere this August”?
You pack your laptop, head to the coast, and prove that productivity isn’t limited to office walls…

Thanks to Trace Recruitment’s brilliant Anywhere August scheme, I spent last week working remotely from Southwold – a charming seaside town - where my partner was showcasing their work in the arts.

Mornings started with strong coffee and sea breeze – swapping the busy London commute for a slower, fresher start.

This change in scenery - from living and working in London, to a peaceful seaside town - gave me the opportunity to have a fresh perspective on ways of working.

Days were filled with client calls, candidate conversations and keeping recruitment wheels turning – all from a spot where the only commute was to the beach!

At the end of the day, I would be able to take walks along the beach, watch the sunset over the sea and spend any free time with my partner, supporting her work or enjoying a new place together.

For me, the opportunity for August Anywhere isn’t just about remote work. It’s about trust, balance, and believing that great work can happen anywhere – especially when you’re inspired by your surroundings.

It’s a huge privilege to work with a team and who embrace flexibility and trust their colleagues in a meaningful way.

Next week we speak to another member of the team about their experiences with August Anywhere.

If you’re an experienced Consultant looking for a new adventure, we’d love to hear from you.
