Project Financial Analyst – Media – 6 Month FTC – GBP55 -60,000

Role Objective:
We have an exciting new role for a leading Media giant on a 6 month FTC. We are recruiting a Project Financial Analyst which will be responsible for delivering significant efficiency and data accuracy improvements to the Financial Reporting and Analysis (FR&A) team through the Billings and Income project. They will be reporting to the Billings and Income Project Manager but be supported in the performance of their tasks by other members of the FR&A team both in London and Offshore (India).
Key Accountabilities:
Billings and Income Standardisation Project (basic principles):

· Investigate the existing FR&A processes across the Brands in scope, to identify process differences, inefficiencies, and derive an optimal solution
· Develop the solution, which may be a new process, a new excel model, an enhancement to an existing process though better use of an existing application, or some other change
· Perform key tasks such as data cleansing and data validation / reconciliation, where required
· Develop new standardised reports in excel, or a more appropriate application
· Test the solution to ensure it has met the FR&A requirements
· Rollout the optimal solution across all Brands
· Provide training to end users on the new processes

Specific primary tasks:

· Standardise accounting for Deferred Consolidated Billings (DCB)
· Investigate current process
· Document process descriptions created
· Create standard process to reconcile all DCB items
· Develop standard reconciliation model where possible
· Billings team to assign owners for all DCB clients who will maintain PO trackers and reconcile against media data each month for accuracy and completeness
· Reconcile all DCB accounts

Secondary tasks:
· New accounting templates for media system based accrued income
· Design and implement new templates that need to be created for key revenue related journals as a result of implementing a new ERP
· Accrued and deferred income calculation templates to be created to improve efficiency of posting of any complex calculations each month-end that sit outside of the unbilled and prebilled reports”
