Finance Operations Manager, Central London – PR & Communications, up to GBP40,000 plus benefits
An interesting new opportunity has become available with a growing RPR & Communications agency for a transaction finance operations manager. The role will report directly into the Financial Controller and manages a team of four junior AP/AR/CC clerks. This person will be responsible for all transactional finance and mentoring the team, advising on any queries and being the face of the team when dealing with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and control the purchase & sales ledger processes across all group companies
· Manage financials for a key client account
· Review and process monthly staff expenses
· Ownership of WIP and Accrued revenue
· Prepare weekly client risk reporting for FC, CFO and Legal team
· Manage preparation of ad hoc purchase, sales, WIP and accrued reports as requested
· Preparation of documentation for annual audit
· Formally document all financial operational procedures
· Maintain infrastructure of internal controls
· Review current processes and propose changes
· Manage new systems and processes implementation
· Ownership of software – upgrade and maintain
· Coach, mentor and manage 4 junior direct reports
Key Skills & Qualifications:
· Strong mathematics skills (proven with good GCSE/A level Maths grades)
· Good understanding of financial operational processes with [ 4+ ] years experience and exposure to client billings in services business
· Excellent communication skills in order to interact confidently and effectively with Partners and staff at all levels
· Exceptional organisational skills and a keen attention to detail
· Strong Excel skills
· Previous experience in Media industry preferred but not essential
