Finance Officer (Income)

Finance Officer, Central London – Not for Profit, up to GBP30,000 plus benefits
A finance officer role has become available in a large charity based in Central London. The selected candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and will assist with processing, reporting and reconciling all of the income for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process donations received from fundraising, the website and direct transfers
· Process monthly donation packs
· Complete bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
· Balance sheet reconciliations
· Keep key donor information up to date and back ups are performed regularly
· Inform Chairman of large donations
· Prepare and submit Gift Aid claims
· Ensure all donor queries are acknowledged and answered promptly and accurately
· Provide assistance with the annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts
· Produce monthly report on all donations
Key Skills & Qualifications:
· Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
· Advanced knowledge of Excel
· Some relevant experience in financial accounting and financial reporting
· Experience of designing and managing effective administrative systems and procedures
· Good interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholders
· Clear communication skills both written and verbal
· Quick learner
· Knowledge of charity accounting, charity fundraising regulation and company legislation desirable
